died December 03, 1857 in Barry County Missouri. He married (1) MARY COX December
25, 1834 in Schuyler County Illinois. She was born Abt. 1819, and died 1845
in Texas. He married (2) JANE CATHERINE RIDINGS June 18, 1848 in Adams County
Illinois. She was born April 01, 1832 in Clairborne County Tennessee, and died
July 05, 1926 in Joplin Jasper County Missouri.

Hi Sandi,
I haven't talked to you in awhile. I am still looking for Stinnetts.
William (brother to your Isham) was married to Mary Cox in Illinois
and she died leaving six daughters. It seems some of them stayed
with the Cox family but I found one with Moses & Prunetta Stinnett
Meisenheimer in Union County Illinois in 1850. Do you have Prunetta
or anything like this in your records? I found where she and Moses
were married Nov. 19, 1840, and it was spelled the same way.

Hello there!
Thanks for writing, I am at a brick wall as to Mahala & Martha.
Yes, my ancestor William Stinnett died in Calvert county MD.
His son Benjamin Sr. was born there in 1710. They later moved
to Amerst, Virginia. Benjamin Jr. was my next ancestor, he
married Ursula Isham, then Isham Stinnett Sr. was born in
Amerst, Virginia, married Elizabeth Austin, and died in Macoupin
county Illinois. Next came John Stinnett, born Greene county
Tennessee, married Catherine Hunter. I think they died in
Arkansas. Their son William was my g g grandfather, he was
married to Jane Catherine Ridings in 1848 in Adams county
Illinois. After William died Jane married his brother George,
this is where the two people I am looking for comes in. Mahala
Stinnett Fowler was William & Jane's daughter, Martha (Mattie)
Stinnett Tucker was George & Jane's daughter. They were
both alive when Jane died in 1926 and Mattie was still alive
when her brother Charles died in 1943 in Joplin, Missouri but
I can not find when they died or where they are buried.
It seems Mahala is a family name as I have found it in several
of the early Stinnett families.
I would appreciate any help and will be happy to share any
information I have on the Stinnett family. A lot of it has been
given to me but I do have the later families.
